Trip To Launie

On Hobart Show Day Jake and I made the trip to Launceston to do some much needed shopping and sight seeing. We had a nice relaxing drive on the way up, apart from when you get behind those cars that drive well below the speed limit, but once they get to a overtaking lane they decide to speed up, making it harder to get past them. Luckily Jake is a good driver and overtook those not so courteous people.

Once we arrived in Launie, we found a carpark and headed into the city centre to partake in some retail therapy...we didn't have as much luck as anticipated but it was still nice to get away.

You know how you need to just get away sometimes from the usual croud...well we didnt have much luck in this department...we ran into about four different people that we knew...oh well it didnt really matter.

After a bit of shopping and eating...and more eating we headed back to the car. By this stage Jake and I were pretty busting to go to the toilet...man was this an experience...the toilets back at the carpark were automatic...let me explain... the doors opened by the push of a button, once you had finished your business you push another button to release toilet paper...you then wash your hands, this then automatically flushes the toilet. It is hard to explain, but they were really cool..and so hygenic!

After getting over the excitment of the toilet we headed to the Cateract Gorge(not sure how to spell it).
We walked around the Gorge, ran away from the scary peacocks and took some photos.
At the end of the walk we headed to the cafe and had a 'Bubble 'O' Bill' icecream...bring back the old days!
Once this was all over we headed back to the car and made the long journey back to Hobart.

Was so nice to be home....
